At
a time when Cameroon film producers get disappointed from Netflix, Chillen Media
Inc releases CMFlix.
According
to CY, a Cameroonian comedian, Netflix the foreign movie giant in Africa no
longer wants Cameroonian movies on their platform because Cameroonian producers
do not have an audience.
As
these film producers are thinking of a way around this blow, a Cameroonian tech
person, Nkwain Chiamba comes up with a technology similar to but more
sophisticated than Netflix to solve the query on the minds of these producers.
With
the egoistic and proud nature of most Cameroonian film producers, many tend to
doubt whether they will buy what comes from their country and trust it with the
best of their content?
Meanwhile,
the CEO of Chillen Media Inc, Nkwain Chiamba, noted that, CMFlix is a
Cameroonian product designed for Africans and they are ready to partner with
any producer who is willing to cooperate with them.
He
also mentioned that, although priority will be given to contents from
Cameroonian producers, he expects that these producers prioritize them too.
Without that, there will be no need for a partnership.
“CMFlix
is a live streaming service where you can stream first class African movies, TV
shows, comedy and live TV channels on demand everywhere you go and on multiple
devices. The app comes with 250+ live tv channels, exclusive productions
ranging from education, lifestyle, adventure and lots more” he added.
The
big question now is; will our Cameroonian producers embrace this new
technology?
